Learn how to make a basic hat in this three (3) class workshop.  You will learn techniques such as how to: read and resize knitting patterns, join and knit in the round, rib stitch, decrease, and knit stockinette stitch in the round. Make it your own design by personalizing your hat with stripes or pom-poms.

Small class sizes (max 6 people) for the ideal learning environment. 

Youth participants are welcome with accompanying adult.

MATERIALS (suggested)

Supplies are not included; however, all participants enjoy an in-store 15% discount on class supplies. This is what you need:

  • 1 x  40 cm (16 in) circular needle size 4 mm, US 6.
  • Bulky yarn (#5).  You will need 100 grams of solid colour yarn or ~200 yards.  Very fluffy or variegated yarn may be frustrating for new learners. 
  • Stitch Marker
  • Large darning needle (big enough eye to thread your yarn through)
