In this knitting class, you will learn the basics of knitting mittens.  Learn how complete ribbing, a thumb gusset, afterthought thumb and decreasing.  

This is not a beginner class and participants should be comfortable with knitting, purling and working with double point needles.

Small class sizes (max 6 people) for the ideal learning environment.

MATERIALS (suggested)

Supplies are not included; however, all participants enjoy an in-store 15% discount on class supplies. This is what you need:

  • 1 x set double point needles in 3.75mm and 4.5mm (worsted) or 5mm (chunky).
  • Worsted (#4) or Chunky (#5) weight yarn.  You will need 100 grams ~200 yards for largest size yarn.  Very fluffy or variegated yarn may be frustrating for new learners, so stick to solids or heathered. 
  • Stitch Marker
  • Large darning needle (big enough eye to thread your yarn through)
