The Art of Thrumming
Originating from Newfoundland and Labrador hundreds of years ago, thrummed mittens were a favorite among fishermen as the twisted pieces of pure sheep's wool knit into the interior of the mitten create a fleecy, warm lining.
Wondering how they are made? Looking to expand your knitting repertoire? In this class we will make a pair of thrummed mittens using 100% wool (100g) and roving (50g). Learn the basics of mitten construction and tricks for adding a securing thrums. Participants should be able to knit and purl comfortably prior to attending this class.

The class fee includes pattern, all reference materials and a minimum of six (6) hours of instruction. Participants may bring their own supplies or enjoy a 20% discount in-store.
