In this intermediate to advanced class, participants will get to exercise their sock knitting skills while learning colourwork techniques and tips. 

Designed by Stone Knits, these socks are knit from the top down with a ribbed cuff and a heel flap and gusset construction, with a sweet cup of cocoa motif on the leg. There is a small section of simple colourwork on the foot just before the toe. The toe is then finished by grafting stitches together. This pattern uses the magic loop circular needle method (but can be knit with 23cm (9 inch) circulars or DPNs).

All class participants enjoy an in-store discount on class supplies. Here is what you need:

• Fingering weight yarn (#1); Four colours are needed:
  • MC: Approx. Main 241 yds-284 yds (sample knit in WYS Signature 4ply Gingerbread)
    CC1: Approx. 109 yds (Green)
    CC2: Approx.  26 yds (Red)
    CC3: Approx. Scrap yarn amounts (Beige)
• Needles: 2.25mm for ribbing and stockinette, 2.5 mm for colourwork in 32" or 9" circular needles or DPNs.
• Scissors
• Darning needle
