In this class you will learn the basics of traditional sock design and advanced knitting techniques; including, how to read your pattern and select your yarn, measuring your foot, completing the heel flap & gusset, toe decreasing and Kitchener stitch.  

This is not a beginner class and participants should be able to knit, purl and increase/decrease.

Small class sizes (max 6 people) for the ideal learning environment.

MATERIALS (suggested)

Supplies are not included; however, all participants enjoy an in-store 15% discount on class supplies. This is what you need:

  • 1 x set of double point needles in 3.75mm or 4mm 
  • Worsted weight yarn (#4).  You will need 100 grams or ~220 yards with at least 15% nylon content.  Very fluffy or variegated yarn may be frustrating for new learners, so stick to solids or heathered. 
  • Stitch Markers
  • Large darning needle (big enough eye to thread your yarn through)
